How do I update or change the credit card on my profile?

 

In order to update or change the credit card you have listed in your profile, you will need to be logged into our website. This action cannot be completed on the National Car Rental App.

Please choose from one of the available options below for additional information and directions.

 

How do I update my expiration date?

 

  1. Sign into your Emerald Club Profile. Click here to open the Sign in screen in a new window.

     

  2. Click 'My Profie'

  3. Select "Payment Options'

  4. This will take you to the 'Payment Options' screen where you can find all the credit cards listed on your profile. To edit the expiration for the Primary credit card on your profile, click on the 'edit' button.

  5. Uses the 'Expiration Date' drop down menus to update your new expiration date.

  6. Once updated, click on the 'Update' button.

  8. After clicking the 'Update' button, you will be directed back to the 'Payment Options' page. If your change was successful, you will see the new expiration date for this card under your name and card type.

     

  9. For security purposes, updates to credit cards including credit card expiration dates must be updated online by the member. Member Services can walk you through the process of making the update online if you need assistance.

How do I change my credit card?

 

  1. Log into your Emerald Club Profile. Click here to open the login screen in a new window.

     

    If you are already logged into your Emerald Club Profile, click here. This will take you to the 'Payment Options' screen. At this point, you can skip to step 4.

     

  2. Click 'My Profile'

     

  3. Select "Payment Options'

     

  4. Once at this screen you will first need to add a new credit card to your profile. To do this, click the 'Add Payment Method' button

     

  5. Next, you will enter in your new credit card information.

     

  6. Once entered, click on the 'Add Payment' button.

     

  7. After clicking the 'Add Payment' button, you will be directed back to the 'Payment Options' page. If the card was successfully added, you will see the new credit card listed under the 'Other Payment Methods' section.

     

  8. Next, you will need to click the 'Set As Primary' button.

     

  9. If successfull, this card will move from the 'Other Payment Methods' section to the 'Primary Payment Method' section on the 'Payment Options' page. If you wish to keep the previous credit card on file, you can stop at this step.

     

  10. If you wish to delete the previous credit card from your account, you will need to click the 'edit' link next to your name.

     

  11. Once on the 'Edit Payment' page, select the 'Remove' button.

     

  12. After clicking the 'Remove' button, you will be directed back to the 'Payment Options' page. If the card was successfully deleted, you will no longer see it under the 'Other Payment Methods' section.

     

  13. For security purposes, updates to credit cards including credit card expiration dates must be updated online by the member. Member Services can walk you through the process of making the update online if you need assistance.

How do I delete my credit card on my profile?

 

  1. Log into your Emerald Club Profile. Click here to open the login screen in a new window. If you are already logged into your Emerald Club Profile, click here. This will take you to the 'Payment Options' screen. At this point, you can skip to step 4.

     

  2. Click 'My Profile'

     

  3. This will take you to the 'Payment Options' screen where you can find all the credit cards listed on your profile. To delete a card from your profile, click on the 'edit' button next to the credit card you wish to delete.

     

  4. Once on the 'Edit Payment' page, select the 'Remove' button.

     

  5. After clicking the 'Remove' button, you will be directed back to the 'Payment Options' page. If the card was successfully deleted, you will no longer see it under as an available payment option.

     

  6. Once deleted, you will also see the following message when you log into your Emerald Club account. This message will appear until you add another method of payment.

     

  7. For security purposes, updates to credit cards including credit card expiration dates must be updated online by the member. Member Services can walk you through the process of making the update online if you need assistance.

 

Still having trouble adding or updating your credit card?

 

At this time, we have discovered that some customers are receiving a "Payment Media Context is already Existing" error when trying to add or update their credit card information. We are currently investigating the root cause of the error and are actively working to resolve this issue.

 

If you receive this error, please try to update your credit card again after a 2 hour delay.
